Sukiyaki Teriyaki Warishita Sauce 250ml
This very simple but super tasty all natural sukiyaki sauce is made with Morita's fantastic wooden barrel shoyu, finest Japanese cane sugar and a rare, natural Japanese seasoning sauce (ajinohaha) that contains the umami of sake and the sweetness of mirin combined.
Ryoutei/Kappa-style teriyaki dishes are easy to make with this ready-made sauce. The teriyaki in these fine restaurants actually just glazes the fish or meat very delicately.
It is not a solid sauce, as we often know from teriyaki - the taste of the sauce only gently underlines the inherent taste of the basic ingredients.
This sauce develops its full, elegant taste even better when heated. If you want to use it as a sauce over sushi etc, we recommend briefly boiling the sauce to enjoy the true aroma.
Morita Shoyu is a traditional brewer from Shimane Province in the southwest of Japan's main island of Honshu. Founded in 1903, Morita still brews only with regional or Japanese basic ingredients and places great value on quality and naturalness. You will realize when you taste this unique flavour.
