Green Yuzu Kosho Chili Pepper Paste 50g
Yuzukosho or yuzu chili paste is made with spicy chilies and floral yuzu fruits from Oita Prefecture. Most yuzu kocho products contain chilies from China and also often have a little undefined side taste. The sugar used here is from Hokkaido and also all other basic ingredients are originally from Japan. You can feel a very subtle and nice bitterness only from the skin used, but not from the white underskin like in many other products.
In southern Japan, yuzu kosho is added to miso soup and it is a versatile ingredient for dressings, cream sauces and marinades, not only for the spicy type of people. Once you have tried original Yuzu Kocho, you can never again forget that unique taste.
