Red Yuzu Kosho Chilli Pepper Paste 50g
Yuzukosho (yuzugocho) or yuzu chilli paste is made with spicy red chilies and floral yuzu fruits from Oita Prefecture. Most yuzu kocho products contain chillies from China and also often have a little undefined side taste. The sugar used here is from Hokkaido and also all other basic ingredients are originally from Japan. You can feel a very subtle and nice bitterness only from the skin used, but not from the white underskin like in many other products.
In southern Japan, red yuzu gosho is added to stir-fries and it is a versatile ingredient for dressings, cream sauces and marinades -not only for the spicy type of people but for those who like an extra kick.
