Hijiki from WEL-PAC is a type of edible seaweed that has been cultivated in Japan and Korea for centuries. In addition to bringing a unique taste and texture to soups and salads, Hijiki is low in calories but high in several important nutrients.
The brown alga Hijiki is a multi-branched black alga. To grow, hijiki needs plenty of sun and at the same time be surrounded by seawater. It grows best on the Pacific coast. The alga looks like a ball of black threads and, when cooked, resembles black soup noodles.
- How to use: Just cover half a handful of dried Hikiji with cold water and let it sit for 30min. It's ready to use and can be eaten cold or warm

- Hijiki contains a naturally high amount of Iodid. Do not eat in the product in event of lymph node problems or any iodine allergy!
