This Maruyu Yuki Organic Miso from world-class Japanese manufacturer Hikari Miso is made from fermented soybeans and it’s a thick paste-like substance. Soy beans are fermented with rice (usually), koji and sea salt.

Maru-Yu Mutenka Miso is the certified organic miso, using organic soybeans and rice, with bright red in color. High soy beans ratio, together with long fermentation period, brings well-balanced umami, saltiness, and tartness, with toasted aroma.
