Aichi Craft Gin Kiyosu 500ml
Aichi Craft Gin Kiyosu is produced by the Kiyosuzakura Brewery in Aichi and of course, takes its name from the Aichi prefecture. Ten distinctive botanicals from Japanese plants are used, including Kintoki ginger, Nishio matcha and Gamagori Mikan mandarin.
The Kiyosuzakura Brewery has been brewing sake since 1853 and also been producing shochu and liqueurs, such as umeshu, for several decades, and now also gin. Those ten botanicals used are juniper berry, caraway, lemon peel, sansho pepper, cinnamon, chamomile, coriander, Nishio matcha, Mikan mandarin peel and Kintoki ginger. With 40% alcohol volume, the Aichi Craft Gin is slightly lighter than most other Japanese gins.
At the Foodex 2019 convention in Tokyo, the Aichi Craft Gin secured both the Gold Award and the Product Appreciation Award. The Craft Gin won the gold medal at the IWSC 2020 in the gin category.
